Earlier in 2025 I chanced across an Australian based Occupational Therapy and Virtual Reality Community of Practice via a student project. What was so encouraging is to hear such a group exists in Australia whereas I have felt for some time I have been exploring the use of OT & VR in isolation.

One of the issues of exploring the use of OT & VR is that the majority of work seems to be happening overseas in the US or Europe. Whilst it is easy to connect to these groups the majority of their interest groups and conferences are difficult to attend due to cost (overseas travel) or logistics (time differences).

So it’s heartening to find a group in Australia in a much more suitable time zone!

Want to join yourself? Get in contact with the group via their website: VR OT Central Hub.
